Accelerated Serendipity
When I was a kid my Mom used to say, “Go outside and play!” - she knew how to accelerate serendipity.
She knew that if I just went outside and ran into some other people I’d give life a chance to do something interesting.
The more you do it, the more interesting life gets. And if you can do it at scale, it’s magical.
Last Thursday I got to watch about 30 founders from our SpartUp Incubator come together and do rapid pitching games with Xircle Inc. Founders Seema Vora, Isita Bagayatkar, and Surabhi Gupta. The magic was tangible.
Then 60 entrepreneurs attended our Speaker Panel with moderator Max Rothe, and 4 incredible speakers, including Quency Phillips and Sameer Saran who literally shared that being a founder is about getting out, and in front of people. Magical.
Yesterday I attended CruzHacks up at UCSC where 600 hackers are colliding with each other and with all the sponsors and event hosts. I’m there to offer my experience as a mentor if anyone needs it.
But the truth is I’m just doing what my Mom told me to do when I was a kid, “Go outside and play!”
I’ll be at CruzHacks all weekend if you want to find me.
Go play!
