This is counterintuitive. Most people are taught to decrease risk. Parents are always telling kids to slow down, don’t fall, wait... The slower you can go, the more deliberate you are, the more time you have to make good decisions. But the price you pay is speed and growth... and life. You actually rob yourself of the serendipity of colliding with life. I’m not advocating reckless risk-taking or doing stupid things like speeding with bald tires on Hwy 17 in the rain. That’s just dumb. I’m talking about making plans in your life and in business. I’m suggesting you ask yourself this question, “Am I creating a plan that has little to no risk in it?” If the answer is yes then ask, “What can I do to make this a little more risky?” The more risk you engineer into your life the faster you grow and the more opportunities you create for life to get interesting... maybe even a little out of control! Proceed with caution!!! (Just kidding)
